Part of our Manila escort guides collection.

Manila's nightlife is spread across four distinct areas, each with a different character and crowd. BGC attracts the upscale international and corporate crowd. Makati's Poblacion and P. Burgos serve different needs - Poblacion for craft bars and dining, P. Burgos for the traditional entertainment strip. Quezon City is massive in terms of volume but scattered. Pasay and Entertainment City cater to casino visitors. Here is how each area works and what to expect.

๐ŸŒ†BGC (Bonifacio Global City)

BGC is the most walkable and safest nightlife zone in Metro Manila. The main strips run along High Street, Burgos Circle, and The Fort Strip. Venues skew upscale - rooftop bars, craft cocktail lounges, international restaurant-bars, and nightclubs with DJ lineups. Dress codes apply at most clubs (no shorts, no slippers). Burgos Circle BGC is a separate entertainment zone with table service bars and a younger crowd. Most venues open 6pm-2am, with clubs until 3-4am on weekends.

๐ŸธKey BGC Venues and Areas

  • High Street: Commune (craft bar), 71 Gramercy (rooftop), The Wholesome Table (late dining)
  • The Palace BGC: large nightclub complex with multiple indoor/outdoor spaces
  • Burgos Circle: Revel, The Collective BGC, and surrounding table-service bars
  • The Fort Strip: outdoor food park and bar area, casual atmosphere, early crowd
  • BGC nightlife price range: PHP 250-600 per drink, PHP 3,000-8,000 table minimum at clubs

๐ŸŽญMakati - Poblacion and P. Burgos

Makati splits into two very different nightlife zones. Poblacion, centered around Maamo Street and the surrounding barangay, is Makati's bohemian and craft bar district - speakeasies, rooftop spots, Filipino fusion restaurants, and a young cosmopolitan crowd. It runs until 3-4am. P. Burgos Street is the traditional adult entertainment strip. These two areas are geographically close but cater to entirely different purposes and crowds.

๐ŸŽตKey Makati Venues

  • Poblacion: Tambai (craft spirits), 121 Greenbelt (upscale rooftop), Black Market (late-night club)
  • Ayala Triangle Gardens: outdoor bar events, premium crowd, great for early evening
  • P. Burgos Street: traditional bar strip, KTVs, active 10pm-2am
  • Legazpi Village: quieter restaurant-bar area, popular for dinner dates
  • Makati price range: PHP 150-400 per drink in Poblacion, higher at rooftop venues

๐Ÿ™๏ธQuezon City

Quezon City has Manila's largest student and young local crowd. The main nightlife cluster is in Tomas Morato Avenue and the surrounding streets - dozens of bars, karaoke rooms, and restaurants. Cubao Expo is an alternative arts and live music venue cluster. Scout area has craft bars. Prices are notably lower than BGC and Makati - PHP 100-250 per drink at most QC bars. The scene runs late but transport can be challenging - Grab availability decreases significantly after 2am.

๐ŸŽฐPasay and Entertainment City

Pasay hosts Manila's integrated casino resorts - Solaire, City of Dreams, Okada, and Resorts World Manila. Each has its own nightclub, bar, and entertainment complex. The clientele is primarily casino visitors, high rollers, and international business travelers. Prices are premium across the board. This area is best if you are already staying in the casino resorts - transport from BGC and Makati adds 30-60 minutes depending on traffic.

๐Ÿš—Transport and Getting Around at Night

Always use Grab after midnight

Grab (the regional Uber equivalent) is the safest and most reliable transport option for Manila nightlife. Street taxis are common but metered rides can be unreliable late at night. Book from inside your venue, not from the street. BGC has the best Grab supply - other areas may have 5-15 minute waits after 2am.
